BTS’ Jungkook Nails ‘Soda Pop’ Cover—But Did He Miss One Key Detail?

BTS' Jungkook has always hyped KPop Demon Hunters—and now there's a fresh connection fans didn’t see coming!

One of the biggest pop culture sensations of 2025, KPop Demon Hunters, has taken the internet by storm—yes, we’re talking about those viral nine-toothed dolls you’ve probably scrolled past at least once. And with BTS, especially Jungkook, already having shown love for the animated hit through spontaneous covers and dance challenges, it seems like the film and the global K-pop giants just keep finding their way back to each other.

As buzz around KPop Demon Hunters refuses to fade—with not just one but two sequels reportedly in the works, plus talks of a live-action adaptation—the spotlight on the voices behind the film has only intensified. One name that’s been getting a lot of attention lately is Andrew Choi, the voice behind the character Jinu (no, not Ahn Hyo Seop—he voices the character, but it’s Choi who sings the part). And now, his interaction with Jungkook’s recent Soda Pop cover has caught fans’ attention.

Andrew Choi Praises Jungkook: “A True Vocalist”

In a video shared by Straits Times Online, Andrew Choi reacts to Jungkook’s casual livestream rendition of the song Soda Pop from the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack—and he had nothing but praise for the youngest BTS member.

“What I love about Jungkook is that he sings with such ease—that’s the mark of a true vocalist,” Choi said. “His performance? It’s an 11 out of 10.”

But what truly impressed Choi wasn’t just the vocals—it was Jungkook’s attention to detail. As he listened to the song, Jungkook actually pointed out a subtle lyrical error in the original OST.

“I didn’t even catch it myself,” Choi admitted. “No one else seemed to notice either, until Jungkook brought it up. So thank you, Jungkook, for that.”

Assembling the Real-Life Saja Boys: Choi’s Dream Lineup

In another video, Choi took the fandom excitement even further by imagining his own real-life version of the Saja Boys, the demon-hunting group at the center of the film. His fantasy lineup started—no surprises here—with Jungkook, praising his star power and versatility. Next up was Mark from NCT, brought in for his razor-sharp rap skills.

To round out the group visually, Choi picked Cha Eun Woo, often speculated to be one of the key inspirations behind Jinu’s character design—especially after that fan-favorite Free OST cover alongside Arden Cho, who voices Rumi in the movie.

Choi completed the dream team with powerhouse vocalists like EXO’s Baekhyun or D.O., and Young K from DAY6, building what he called his version of the ultimate demon-fighting squad.

From an animated blockbuster to unexpected K-pop connections, KPop Demon Hunters continues to deliver surprises—and with stars like Jungkook in the mix, fans are more hooked than ever.
